Unilateral Minimum Retail Price (UMRP) Policy - Hughes Autoformers

Unilateral Minimum Retail Price (UMRP) Policy

2021-2022 Hughes Autoformers Products Marketing Program

Program Effective Date: December 15th, 2021

In an effort to protect the long-term interest of not only Hughes Autoformers’ product lines, but also all of our dealers, distributors, and customers, we have unilaterally adopted a Minimum Retail Price Policy for our products (MRP Product). This policy is to ensure the preservation of Hughes Autoformers superior technology, product innovation, quality and value, and to maintain the brand and reputation of Hughes Autoformers and Power Watchdog within the market.

Although resellers remain free to establish their own prices, Hughes Autoformers will, without assuming any liability, cancel all orders and refuse to accept any new orders for a product(s) from a dealer or distributor that is in violation of the MRP policy. This policy applies to any dealer or distributor and/or any retailer or reseller that has purchased a product from such dealer or distributor that has advertised, offered, or sold a product at a net retail sales price less than the MRP established price from Hughes Autoformers.

Why do I need an Autoformer?

Hughes Autoformers are designed to increase voltage to your RV and help eliminate low voltage damage to your appliances. Unlike a boost transformer, the 'sense circuit' in the Autoformer will adjust the output based on the load demand. For this reason you can run additional appliances on a 30-amp input. For example, a coffee pot and microwave each draw 1200 watts. Add wattage for the converter and/or a refrigerator - about 800 additional watts – and now you have 3200 watt demand.
